How to convert text case

  1. Type or paste text into the editor.
  2. Choose a case style such as UPPERCASE, Title Case or camelCase.
  3. Copy, download or continue editing the converted text.

Text case types

Use sentence and title styles for prose, capitalization for headings, and snake_case, kebab-case, dot.case or path/case for developer and filename conventions. Toggle Case inverts letters, while Alternating Case creates alternating capitalization.

Title Case vs Capitalize Each Word

Title Case keeps many short connecting words lowercase except at the beginning or end. Capitalize Each Word gives every detected word an initial capital, which can be useful for names and labels.

Text Case Converter FAQ

What is a case converter?

A case converter changes the capitalization and separators of text, such as converting a sentence to uppercase, lowercase, Title Case, camelCase or snake_case.

How do I convert text to uppercase or lowercase?

Type or paste text into the editor, then choose UPPERCASE or lowercase. The conversion happens locally in your browser.

What is Title Case?

Title Case capitalizes important words while keeping common short connecting words lowercase when appropriate.

What is Sentence case?

Sentence case capitalizes the beginning of sentences and keeps the remaining letters lowercase.

What is the difference between Title Case and Capitalize Each Word?

Title Case treats common short words such as “and” and “the” specially; Capitalize Each Word gives every word an initial capital.

What are camelCase and PascalCase?

camelCase joins words with no separator and starts with a lowercase letter. PascalCase also joins words but starts every word, including the first, with an uppercase letter.

What are snake_case and kebab-case?
