What Is Pakistan Salary Income Tax?
Pakistan salary income tax is a federal income-tax estimate for qualifying salaried individuals. The same published salaried schedule is relevant to employees in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Sialkot, Gujranwala and Hyderabad; this calculator does not create different city or province slabs for Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa or Balochistan.
How to Calculate Salary Tax in Pakistan
Choose whether your gross salary is monthly or annual, enter any additional annual amounts you understand to be taxable, and calculate. Monthly salary is annualized before the progressive schedule is applied.
Monthly vs Annual Salary Tax
Payroll deductions may be collected monthly, while the slab schedule is annual. This page shows an average monthly tax by dividing the annual estimate by 12; actual payroll withholding can vary during the year.
How to Calculate Take-Home Salary
The displayed estimate subtracts the calculated income tax from the annual gross amount you entered and divides the result by 12 for net monthly salary. Other payroll deductions are not included.
Understanding Progressive Income Tax
Progressive taxation applies rates to the relevant income bands. Crossing a threshold does not mean that the highest rate applies to the entire salary.
Who Can Use This Calculator?
It is intended for an estimate based on the published qualifying salaried-individual schedule. It is not a non-salaried, business, company, provincial, payroll-benefits or filing calculator.
Important Notes and Limitations
Enter only amounts you understand to be taxable. This implementation does not automatically apply exemptions, rebates, tax credits, pension rules, non-salary income, special regimes, deductions or employer-specific adjustments.
